High School Counseling & Support Program

Our Student Support Services team is comprised of highly trained professionals who provide a variety of developmentally appropriate services for students in Grades 9-12.
Counselors work in partnership with students, staff, and parents to promote and develop academic achievement, social growth, emotional well-being, and higher education planning for all SAIS students. The high school program is dynamic and continually evolves to meet the needs and challenges faced by our students.

Dr. Nighat Aafreen
Head of Assessments, Career & Guidance
Specialist & Quality Assurance
Dr. Nighat Aafreen is a highly experienced academic professional with over 22 years of expertise in teaching and educational leadership. With more than two decades spent in Dubai and two years in Abu Dhabi, she holds a Ph.D. and Master's degrees in Applied Mathematics, along with a Master's in Educational Leadership. Dr. Aafreen also holds an Educational Leadership License from the UAE Ministry of Education. She has played key roles such as Assessment Coordinator and Academic Quality Assurance Officer, overseeing major international assessments and aligning academic frameworks with global standards. Passionate about innovation, she leads initiatives that enhance curriculum implementation and data-driven teaching. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Aafreen enjoys exploring new destinations, painting landscapes, and watching diverse films. She remains dedicated to fostering academic excellence and empowering both educators and students.

Ms.Newline Richard
University and Careers Guidance Counselor
Ms. Newline Richard is an experienced University & Careers Guidance Counselor with extensive experience in higher education admissions, career development, and student success. She holds dual Master's degrees and internationally recognized licenses and certifications in counseling and education.
She is dedicated to guiding students through every stage of their academic journey, from subject selection and career exploration to university admissions and scholarship opportunities. Her student-centered approach empowers learners to make informed decisions, develop career readiness skills, and achieve their educational and professional aspirations. Passionate about educational leadership and lifelong learning, Ms. Richard is committed to helping every student reach their full potential.

City University Ajman Scholarships
City University Ajman offers the below partial scholarships to the employees of SAIS AD, their spouses and their children, and to all the graduating students. This offer is valid for Spring 2024, Summer I and Summer II, 2024.

Bachelor of Public Relations and Advertising 20% scholarship for one (1) year.

BBA- Marketing 30% scholarship for one (1) year.

BBA- Hospitality & Tourism Management 40% for the length of the program.

Conditions to continue partial scholarship:

Register minimum 15 CH per each semester.

Achieve CGPA 3.70 to maintain 15% scholarship, or achieve CGPA 3.60.
